I simply LOVE the way this model looks. His giant OTT revolver and chainsaw is simply jaw-sum. Pics are shiney and all. I'll take better ones and use actual sunlight versus the impromtu defused lighting that i tried for this series. Feel free to comment and etc.
The decimator is an amazing jack and is the same amount of points as a destroyer. They decimator i think is worth the 9 points more that the destroyer.
ReplyDeleteDude, how do you get your pics looking so well lit? Please share you secrets, man!
ReplyDeleteGood lightning? Really? I try to use sunlight as often as possible. But with my schedule, that can sometimes be hard to use. Inside, I use the overhead light and two cheap desk lamps w/ 60watt bulbs. I use the desk lamps as spot lights and place them at "ground level" with the model. They're also place at an angle to the model. Think 4 and 8 o'clock. I then use either tissue paper or a thin white t-shirt to cover the desk lamps in order to diffuse the light and help prevent "yellowing".
ReplyDeleteThe club had a much better set up and an actual 4-sided photo box with several clamp on low wattage spot lights. That box was great as you could place several light sources and hardly cast a shadow. When time permits, I'll make a smaller and light version for the house. But it's not really a priority right now since I have plenty of Khador, pMagnus Mercs, Rhulic Mercs and terrain to work on. But when I build it, I'll post a tutorial or we can make two of them together. Doesn't matter to me.
